Occupancy/Motion Sensors
Save energy with smart lighting energy management
Use motion sensors to control lighting when spaces are occupied or when there is enough natural light for huge energy savings ranging from 20% to 90%.
Occupancy/motion sensors
Occupancy sensors, also called motion sensors/presence detectors are inexpensive energy-saving devices that automatically turn off lighting in unoccupied spaces. They are designed to pick up small movements of employees while working.
These sensors also come with a lux monitor, which keeps lights off if there is enough natural light in the office, even when occupied. This adds to higher energy saving.
Your typical installation areas
Open floor offices, Private offices, Meeting/Conference Rooms, Breakrooms, Toilets, Parking garages, etc.
Typical energy savings when using occupancy Sensors
Type of Space | Approximate Savings |
Private Office | 30 – 50% |
Meeting Rooms | 40 -60% |
Classrooms | 40 – 46% |
Wash Rooms | 30 – 90% |
Open Offices | 20 – 45% |
Storage Areas | 45 – 80% |

Note: Quantities of occupancy sensors required for installation in facilities are always subject to a survey of the building because of the coverage area of an occupancy sensor.
