Superior Performance in Extreme Temperatures
Greases, Oils & Assembly pastes
Industrial environments with high operating temperatures demand specialized lubricants that maintain their performance properties when conventional products would fail. Klüber Lubrication offers a comprehensive range of high-temperature greases, oils, and assembly pastes engineered to provide reliable protection and extended component life in the most challenging thermal environments.
Our specialized lubricants help prevent costly downtime from premature bearing, chain, and assembly failures in high-temperature environments across industries including bakery, beverage, food, pharmaceutical, packaging, plastics, and steel manufacturing.
Choosing the Right High-Temperature Lubricant
Understanding when and why to use high-temperature lubricants is critical for optimal equipment performance:
- OEM Requirements: Many manufacturers specify high-temperature lubricants that have been tested and approved for their equipment.
- Challenging Operating Conditions: New or changed operating environments may require lubricants with enhanced thermal stability.
- Performance Enhancement: High-temperature lubricants can improve reliability and extend maintenance intervals.
Determining Maximum Operating Temperature
When selecting a grease, use these guidelines to establish the maximum operating temperature if not provided by the manufacturer:
- For greases with dropping points below 150°C: Subtract 24°C from the dropping point
- For greases with dropping points between 150°C and 205°C: Subtract 38°C from the dropping point
- For greases with dropping points above 205°C: Subtract 65°C from the dropping point
